This year we have decided to do a 'No Frills' fundraiser. Many of you may be familiar with this idea. The Mahoney Track Team had its fourth meet of the season against Memorial and Westbrook this past weekend. Individual event winners for the team were Annie and Kate von Seggern, Ava Smart, Drew Folley, Alex Kellough, and Anthony Nixon. Come check it out and get ready for spring! *Beginner Band runs on Mondays immediately after school in room 201. *The instrument repair man will be here today at 1:00 p.m. *The Mahoney Performance Jazz Band was one of only two bands in it’s Division of 10 groups to earn a GOLD award, the top honor at the State Jazz Festival in Millinocket Saturday. The band earned an average score of 96, and the performance was was outstanding. Rosie Saffer-Meng was announced as an Outstanding Soloist, and every member of the band is to be congratulated on a wonderful year. Rehearsals are over, but all students are reminded to stay tuned for announcements about Spring Jazz--we will start soon! No auditions necessary!
